Better Birth Outcomes (BBO)
This program provides prenatal health education, linkage and coordination of care with primary and specialty medical care and other social services, referrals to childbirth education and parenting classes, access to contraceptive services and overall care coordination to pregnant women with risk factors that lead to poor birth outcomes.

The Illinois Child Vision and Hearing Test Act establishes minimum standards for the mandated vision and hearing screening programs throughout the state.

Healthy Families Illinois is a statewide network of voluntary home visiting programs for parents of newborns.

Lead Screening
Children must show proof of lead testing or assessment when entering daycare, preschool or kindergarten.

School and Sports Physical Clinics are scheduled each summer.

Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children – better known as the WIC Program – serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating including breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to health care.

Family Case Management is a program designed to help infants, young children and pregnant women be healthy.
