Teen Parents...

    Do you want to leave welfare?

        If you are interested in the following activities, talk to your Teen Parent Services case manager.

  • Go to high school full-time
  • Get into a GED program full-time
  • Work part-time and go to school
  • Learn about parenting, career choices or other topics
  • Get counseling for you or a family member
  • Job training
  • Go to college full-time

Teen Parent Services can help you succeed!

If you are going to school or working part-time, we can help you pay for some of your expenses.

  • Child care
  • Bus or trian fare
  • Car repair, gas
  • Uniforms or special work clothes
  • books and school supplies
  • GED test fees
  • Work tools

DON'T FORGET:

You must:

  • Stay in high school or a GED program full-time to keep your check if you are 19 or under.
  • Participate in 30 hours of activities per week. For example:
  •     30 hours per week of high school = 30 hour requirement
  •     16 hours of GED + 14 hours of job training = 30 hour requirement
