Do you want to leave welfare?
If you are interested in the
following activities, talk to your Teen Parent Services case manager.
- Go to high school full-time
- Get into a GED program full-time
- Work part-time and go to school
- Learn about parenting, career choices or other topics
- Get counseling for you or a family member
- Job training
- Go to college full-time
Teen Parent Services can help you succeed!
If you are going to school or working part-time, we can help you pay for some
of your expenses.
- Child care
- Bus or trian fare
- Car repair, gas
- Uniforms or special work clothes
- books and school supplies
- GED test fees
- Work tools
DON'T FORGET:
You must:
- Stay in high school or a GED program full-time to keep your check if
you are 19 or under.
- Participate in 30 hours of activities per week. For example:
- 30 hours per week of high school = 30 hour

- 16 hours of GED + 14 hours of job training = 30
